EDM GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS

We are able to produce EDMs using these templates in a two days turn-around IF the following guidelines are adhered to. Please consider that we sometimes are working on several EDMs so if we receive everything we require for your project in one request then your EDM will be completed within this timeframe.

We understand that there will be situations that require special consideration, and are happy to discuss your project with you.

Before you send us your project please check the following meet our general guidelines:

HEADER IMAGES

• To be no wider than 600 pixels.
• Height: Good size is roughly around 400 pixels tall. The taller the image the less body copy will be visible at first glance and nobody has time to scroll, scroll, scroll to read long emails.

BODY IMAGES

• No wider than 600 pixels. Note that body images take up body copy real-estate and the longer the EDM is, the less chance that the customer will read it in its entirety.

RECIPIENT LISTS

• To be provided in a ready to use final excel spreadsheet format to reduce the possibility of human error in manipulating the data.
• If it is being personalised then first name should be in its own column, using sentence case.
• Email addresses should be correct.
• Sentence case should be used if that is how you want the field to appear in the EDM.
• No special characters or formulas in the columns.

SUBJECT LINES

• Please take special care to select a short and meaningful subject line! Your carefully written email will go to your recipients SPAM or JUNK file if the subject line contains special character such as !!! $$$ @@@ *** %% ##. To make your subject line more appealing, consider using the recipients first name (i.e. personalising it).
